When did the stupidbowl...ah hem, I mean superbowel become such a food oriented "holiday" Don't get me started on football but let's think about it for a minute. I can understand drinking, If I drank I would have to be drunk to enjoy the game too (tounge in cheek) but of all the food holidays, where did this one get's it's place. If I had to guess, I would think it came from tailgating and I would probably be right. Still, it amazes me that there are food shows dedicated to making Game Day foods, cookbooks, grocery sales and parties all centered around the food...oh, and I guess some of them actually watch the game. Sorry, is my distaste for football and the stupidbowl coming through?
So the US has Thanksgiving and Christmas and Easter as food planning events, and now we add Stupidbowl Sunday......just, think about that in context! *GRIN*
I think you may have made one of the funniest typos in your first sentence. =)
ReplyDeleteUnless you actually meant to put "superbowel" as yet another insult, which is pretty good.
