Because of Netflix I have been watching stupid shows I haven't watched in years and never finished past the first season...won't mention them since it is a sad state of affairs..*GRIN* BUT, it got me thinking, "what ever happened on Smallville?". Now, Tom Welling was the only reason I watched even the 1st season and I don't think I even finished that for the lame reason that he went and got married and so I lost interest...haha
Hey, I was young!
So I started looking for that show to watch, only to be thwarted! It is not on Netflix streaming, I could do it by DVD, don't have that..., not on Hulu or Hulu plus, not on-line anywhere. SO, I went to facebook, asked if any of my friends if they would admit to having them on DVD. Lo and behold SEVERAL friends had at least seasons 1-5 and a co-worker had all 10! So I watched and was actually impressed with a lot of the actors. Best Lex Luther anywhere of all time! But it got me thinking about the TV show Lois and Clark with Terri Hatcher and Dean Cain and how I never finished that either and did they ever get together in the show, did he ever tell her his secret, etc.....look it up and can watch a few of them on-line!
So.....i watched the pilot last night. Looking at the awful hair and clothing I was very curious when this was created and aired, totally don't remember. Well, it was 1993! I was shocked....how could we have looked that bad in 1993. in 1993 I was in the middle of high school and I don't remember looking like that. Then again, i was a surfer chick who wore mostly jean cutoff and flannel and baggy shirts hahaha. I got to thinking, well, 1993 was only 3 years out of the 80's so I guess it makes sense but I SERIOUSLY hope that this is one of the decades of style that doesn't come back in fashion on the circuit of decade revitalization. Right now I am gagging at the return of floral prints on pants and whitewash.....
On a tangent, WHY ARE THEY BACK! We spend more time ridiculing and making fun of those exact things so HOW can someone think they are cool enough to come back? So confused!
